The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, invites applications and nominations for a tenure track faculty position at the assistant level to start in Fall 2023. Research areas of particular interest include the field of high intensity lasers and applications. This is a nine-month, full-time position.

New faculty members will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in electrical engineering; advise graduate and undergraduate students; conduct innovative research; and provide service to the department, the university, and the professional community.

A successful candidate will have a doctorate in electrical engineering, physics or related discipline, by the start date of the position; the potential to develop a vibrant sponsored research program; the ability to effectively teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels; and the interest to serve the department, university, and professional community.

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has 28 faculty members, 350 undergraduates, and 250 graduate students. It has research programs in Communications and Signal Processing; Computer Engineering; Lasers, Optics, and Applications; Controls and Robotics; and Electromagnetics and Remote Sensing.
