Research and Development
The Department of Physics at the University of North Texas (UNT) invites applications for multiple faculty positions in the following areas: 1) Tenure-track assistant professor in materials and devices for energy applications; 2) Tenure-track assistant professor in experimental biophysics, 3) Tenure-track assistant or associate professor in experimental nanophotonics. We seek candidates who can develop vigorous and externally funded research programs, teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels, mentor student research, provide service to the department, university and community, and foster an equitable environment that promotes diversity and inclusion. Preference will be given to applicants whose research interests complement and integrate with ongoing departmental programs.
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in physics or a closely related field, have postdoctoral or equivalent professional experience after Ph.D. In addition, candidates for the positions in Materials and Devices for Energy and Nanophotonics also must demonstrate a commitment to teaching.
