Small Business Business and Administration Manager
We are a consulting, service and distribution company in the field of laser technology. As a small business we are seeking an experienced business professional with interest in guiding and handling accounting, administration, human resource and logistics aspects of the business.

This position gives the opportunity to shape the business through a strong influence on business decisions and the support of technical staff. By independently working with a small group of professionals the person in this position has a high impact on business success and can take advantage of a flexible work environment.

Duties and responsibilities


  • Accurate daily accounting; A/R, A/P, purchasing, invoicing, cash accounts, general journal, 1099 filing, etc.
  • Banking; domestic and international money transfers, ACH payments, bill pay, credit cards
  • Financial planning and preparation for tax returns by CPA firm
  • Sales tax reporting and remittance
  • Business tax and licensure
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and metrics
  • Federal, state and local reporting and compliance

Business and Administration

  • Daily communication with vendor, customer, financial and government organizations
  • Facilities and office management
  • Payroll and benefits processing and maintenance
  • Support HR management (policies, documentation, support external service providers)
  • Business insurance and compliance handling
  • Mail and shipping logistics
  • Maintain filing systems and company records
  • Support business process documentation
  • CRM system support
  • Trade show support

Qualifications and Traits

  • 5+ years experience in bookkeeping and handling general business affairs, such as insurance, compliance, government reporting
  • Cross-functional business acumen
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Payroll experience
  • Strong verbal and written English abilities
  • Proficient in Quickbooks, text and spreadsheet software applications
  • Drive to learn new skills when working on divers business aspects
  • Ability to be organized and manage time independently
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must have a current driver’s license
  • Multi-lingual is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour
