O-Net Communications (USA), Inc. is seeking one Senior Scientist, Photonic Engineer to design optical engines for multi-channel CWDM TOSA and ROSA in 800G Transceivers by using Zemax; Conduct tolerance analysis for TOSA and ROSA in terms of optical performance (fiber coupling efficiency, temperature dependent Loss, multi-channel fiber & detector coupling optimization and balancing, etc.) using Zemax? Provide technical supports to NPI and Production lines for low fiber coupling problems and improvement of first pass yield of 4 and 8 channels 400G TOSA and ROSA transceiver products?Design, prototyping, and sample making for LR4, CWDM and LWDM TOSA & ROSA including setting up lens alignment to improve design and performance?Guide mechanical engineers to prepare optical drawings, detailed sketches, layouts and notes for process, product development, and resolving low-fiber coupling problems?Design, prototype, and patent novel optical components, sub-assemblies and processes for the best performance of transceivers?Establish optical test stations in lab for prototyping and design qualifications and to improve performance and compare Zemax simulation results with the experimental testing results. Requires bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Photonic Engineering or closely related field, and five years’ experience in the job offered as Senior Scientist, Photonic Engineer or closely related field. Special Skills Required: Zemax optical simulation; Optical design for multi-channel WDM TOSA & BOSA; Product development for high speed (>100G) data communication transceiver ; Mastering the process of initial design to manufacturing end–product related to optical transceiver; PHD in closely related field is acceptable.
