Internal Sales Engineer

Pro-Lite is a specialist supplier of photonics equipment and services with a strong focus in instruments for measuring light and the optical properties of materials as well as detectors, lasers, laser safety equipment, opto-mechanics and positioning equipment, optics and optical materials. The Pro-Lite Group comprises Pro-Lite Technology Ltd (Cranfield, UK), Pro-Lite Technology SA (Bordeaux, France), SphereOptics GmbH (Munich, Germany) and Photometric & Optical Testing Services LLP (Cheltenham, UK).

Pro-Lite is looking to recruit an internal sales person who will work with our field sales engineers and business development managers with the sale and technical support of the company’s products.

The ideal candidate will possess as a minimum a first degree (BSc or equivalent) in physics or a related engineering subject and at least 2 years relevant work experience. Previous sales experience in the photonics industry is highly desirable – a proven track record of successful selling will be a major plus. Our consultative approach to selling requires a strongly technical individual with excellent communication skills. You will be a good listener and as a member of a small team you will need to be flexible, highly self-motivated, enthusiastic, organised and a good team player.

The package will be commensurate with experience and will include a competitive basic salary, performance related bonus, private health insurance and contributory pension. The position is office-based so you will need to be located within a reasonable commuting distance of the company’s office in Cranfield, near Milton Keynes.
