Intelligent Imaging Innovations (3i) is looking for a Microscopist to join its global biotech company headquartered in Denver, Colorado.  3i is an established company designing and manufacturing cutting-edge microscopy systems.  The ideal candidate has previous experience with optics used in microscopes and opto-electronic hardware and possesses an Optics Technology Certificate or STEM degree.  This is a full-time position and offers a comprehensive benefits package including generous employer contribution towards health, dental and vision insurance, employer sponsored life and disability insurance and generous paid time off. The salary range is $50k-$70k, depending upon education and experience.

Responsibilities 

The Microscopist is responsible for instrument assembly, testing, installation, troubleshooting, repair and rudimentary training. The Microscopist works closely with R&D, Sales, Manufacturing, Systems Engineering and Marketing.  Work may occur in either the factory, a home office or the field as necessary. This position may require significant travel. 

Working Environment

 The work environment involves moderate physical activity and may require moving and lifting heavy equipment up to 65 pounds. Physical risks can include exposure to chemicals, bio-hazards and class 3b & 4 lasers, electrical systems and operating dangerous equipment. May experience moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises. Adherence to company standard operating procedures and use of personal protective equipment are required to minimize and prevent exposure to hazards.

Conditions of Employment

Experience & Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience with optics used in microscopes and/or opto-electronic hardware with microscopy systems; and/or  

• Optics Technology or Technical Certificate; and/or 

• One or more years experience with advanced STEM degree
