Eberly College of Science
The Department of Physics at The Pennsylvania State University is seeking to fill a postdoctoral position in photonics. The successful candidate will participate in research in complex photonic structures. These projects involve analytical modeling, numerical analysis and experimentation on photonic crystals, waveguide arrays and other devices. The ideal candidate should have experience with photonic crystal physics, including non-Hermitian systems, and topological photonics, in particular photonic Weyl points. Requirements include a Ph.D. in Physics. Applications must be submitted electronically and include a cover letter, CV and statement of research interests. Applicants should arrange for three reference letters to be submitted to [email protected] indicating the appropriate job number in the subject line. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire, with possibility of re-funding. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until a suitable candidate is found.
