Manager of Information Technology – Northrop Grumman – Cambridge, MA

The AOX IT Manager will be responsible for both the IT Servers and business systems that meet the latest requirements for IT based on industry trends and best practices. They will also be responsible for the yearly IT strategic plan that is aligned to the AOX business. They will manage an IT staff located in three different business sites. This individual will represent AOX and work with Northrop Grumman IT Solutions, Internal Audit and Infosec to insure that they are managing to the standards set by Northrop Grumman Corporation. They will use NGC ITS-provided services where it makes sense and work with ITS to insure they are properly installed and working.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent customer service and a strong understanding of IT systems and technology. They will work to insure that the logical controls implemented have the highest level of integrity. They will have to understand business practices and process automation as well as the technology that those systems run on. Will oversee the timely patching, as well as the upgrade of all hardware and software. They will work with diverse process owner teams as the stewards of the business systems consisting of the follow toolsets; Product Data Management (i.e. PDM), Product Lifecycle Management (i.e. PLM), Enterprise Resource Planning (i.e. ERP), CAD CAM, Customer Relationship Management (i.e. CRM) and Quality Assurance (i.e. QA) systems.

This role also needs to insure that plans and systems are in place for any potential interruptions of the businesses. They will develop the Information Systems Continuity Plans, Information System Security Plan and review their effectiveness annually. They will insure that the continuity plans are kept current and filed with the proper staff.

The IT Manager will report directly to the AOA Xinetics Business Management Director.

Position Description:
Direct Responsibilities:
Working manager of 5 IT personal located in three different facilities in MA & CT

Will engage with internal and external customers, addressing complex and difficult technical issues and developing practical IT solutions.

Recruit, mentor, and train subordinate staff members.

Manage and maintain the IT Servers, communications and business systems.

They will work with Enterprise Services and Corporate Information Technology Services to maintain the Infrastructure.

Manage, monitor, and review various IT projects; including status, scheduling, and resource management.

Be the steward of the business systems consisting of the follow toolsets; PDM, PLM, ERP, CAD CAM, CRM, QA, and timekeeping software systems.

Allocate and schedule resources to support department objectives and goals.

Create, develop, and recommend changes in staffing, equipment, and procedures that enhanced IT standards and processes.

Works closely with AOA Xinetics leadership and compliance functions to ensure full compliance with Division, Corporate, and government regulations.

Working Environment & Physical Demands:
Position is located in the AOX Cambridge MA facility while directly supporting the Devens and East Hartford facilities.

Travel a few times a year to other NGAS SBU and division facilities.

Ability to sit for extended periods of times and light physical effort required.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
The individual shall possess the following qualifications:
BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering plus 10 years’ experience managing both IT business systems and infrastructure

Have strong knowledge of the following;

Networking and related technologies

IT Security

Firewalls and Network Monitoring

Penetration Testing

Server and Desktop Technology

Database Management

Reporting Solutions for Databases

Office Applications

Possess leadership skills such as planning, budgeting, project and risk management.

Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills and the ability to apply them to solve issues and predict potential technical risks.

Conducts business with impeccable ethics; leads by example and fosters ethical behavior at all times. Maintains a positive and professional working environment.

Have experience recruiting IT talent.

Possess superior analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to gain internal support, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, and the ability to establish a solid working relationship with IT staff and peer managers in the business areas.

Preferred Qualifications:
An active DOD Secret or TS/SCI clearance or ability to attain one

Have implemented various business systems across a multi-site organization
