Job Description:
The Photonic Integration Circuit (PIC) group develops and manufactures chips that are the heart of Infinera’s terabit-scale digital optical transport networks . The PIC Product Integration Team is looking for a motivated individual and a good team player to fill the role of an Integration Engineer. The team is responsible for quality and reliability of existing PIC products as well as for transitioning new photonic chip designs into manufacturing. In the position of Integration Engineer you are expected to support PIC products through hands-on investigations as well as data analysis. You will be responsible for coordinating, performing and tracking various failure analysis and manufacturing activities. You will be working with different functional teams to troubleshoot and improve fab processes. You will contribute to a variety of activities including test data review, failure analysis, yield improvement, qualification programs and reliability surveillance.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and perform failure analysis of PICs with the goal of yield improvement.

Troubleshoot and disposition material active in our production line, based on knowledge of electrical tests and test methods, fab processes, available data, and prepare reports needed for dispositioning.

Track/coordinate parts for shipment, qualifications, reliability studies, etc.

Set up and monitor SPC charts for product test and fab data and respond to out-of-control events with the goal of improving process stability and capability.

Document processes and changes in the manufacturing line.

Initiate and carry out and assist in yield improvement projects.

Knowledge/Skills Necessary for Success:

Ability to organize data and keep track of a multitude of simultaneous projects and deadlines

Able to use computer software to analyze and review complex data

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, and Word

Hands-on experience with electrical and optical test equipment, metrology and photonic devices

Experience with database SQL queries desired

Experience with Matlab, VBA, JMP or other similar software packages desired

Education and Experience Required:
BS or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or other related engineering field with minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience

Experience in related industry
