Sr Power electronics Engineer

Our client is a leading worldwide supplier of microwave vacuum electron devices and related products. As part of their product line, they produce a wide variety of products for the defense, industrial, medical, broadcast, test, and scientific markets, including Microwave Power Modules (MPMs), TWTs, magnetrons, klystrons, thyratrons, Crossed-Field Amplifiers (CFAs), electron emitters, Inductive Output Tubes (IOTs), and Constant Efficiency Amplifiers (CEAs).

We are looking for at least 3 Power electronics Engineers at various levels of experience to lead the design test and manufacture of High Power  / Power supplies, An experienced RF vacuum electronics engineer with hands-on working knowledge of high power TWT design and operation is needed to provide production engineering support for existing product lines at EDD.  Engineering support includes training and mentorship of technicians and junior engineers as well as product improvement and failure analysis. The products to be supported are employed in a variety of applications including radar, electronic warfare, and high-speed data communications.

Job Description

 We are searching essentially for a medium to high KW , power supply engineer to oversee the design, development manufacture, test and trouble shooting of our line of power supplies. the would include all aspects of Power electronics and analog circuit development and test support including performance measurements for high density switching power converters, compact magnetic components, power filters, feedback control loop measurements and high voltage circuits.  Experience with DC to DC power converters is required. Experience with high voltage a plus.


·         High voltage switching power supply design, test, and development.         

·         Test and debug of prototype and production power supply assemblies.

·         Design verification testing of completed products.

·         Interface with test technicians, assembly personnel, engineers, customers and suppliers.

 In addition duties will include Research and Development of next generation power supply systems and medium to high KW power levels
