As the Sr. Manager of Electronics Engineering at Synrad, you will lead a multidisciplinary team to help develop world-class scan head and photonics products. To operate effectively in the role you will require significant design experience in electronic and controls engineering. You will add value to the team by:
Guiding the engineering team to wise architectural decisions that balance the tradeoffs between cost, risk, and time to market.
Aggressively seeking and leveraging toolkits that speed development cycles, such as modular components from sister company designs and commercial or open source software libraries.
Thoughtfully driving outsourced development when it is in the company’s best interest, e.g. due to lack of internal expertise, lack of development bandwidth, or a commoditized skillset.
Building accurate development resource estimates and timelines, and driving the team to meet scope / schedule / budget commitments on their projects.
