Clinical applications include breast and thyroid oncology, plastics, spine, orthopedic, cardiothoracic and general surgery among others.

Position Description : The Scheduler/Planner will be primarily responsible for developing and managing forecast and jobs for production of medical devices. Plans material and production requirements for Invuity and our contract manufacturers utilizing ERP, or other tools as necessary. In addition, this position will develop solutions to ERP issues that will focus around item attribute set up, item consumption, and Bill of Materials structuring. Prepares production jobs and job-related purchase orders in ERP system and completes various transactions as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create jobs in ERP, issue materials, PO’s to subcontractors, and verify receipts were completed.

Review new item entry forms to ensure proper attributes are set up. This includes purchased items, subcontracted items, and manufactured finished goods

Create or review bills of materials to ensure accuracy and correct set up in ERP system

Make necessary changes to delivery schedules, and coordinates releases with Quality Assurance

Coordinate and plan materials requirements for new product introductions, including review of new BOM’s and cut-in dates for build verification and production units.

Work cooperatively with the Sourcing Engineer, Inventory Specialist and Contract Manufacturers to implement Pre Engineering Change Orders for products or projects not yet released.

Assess impact to materials availability and production schedule from customer sales opportunities that may be affecting demand for product over and above the plan.

Review material shortages, stock outages, and safety stock levels while working with Contract Manufacturers, Purchasing and Manufacturing to meet customer requirements. Propose changes when needed

Assist in the resolution of MRP and planning discrepancies.

Work cooperatively to implement innovative inventory efficiency programs.

Key Competencies:
Proven experience with complex planning, forecasting and product lifecycle programs.

Proven people skills required, must have ability to work with others while effectively handling internal pressures.

Ability to prioritize multiple issues to support the customer and supply chain requirements; and to operate in a collaborative and cross-functional organization

Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal).

Organizational and problem solving skills required. Working knowledge of purchasing, inventory control and materials management practices and processes are required

Prior medical device experience preferred

Must be highly accurate and analytical

Proficient using MS-Office

Experience with SYSPRO a plus

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline desired, but may be offset by experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience in planning, operations, logistics, supply chain or related experience in the regulated manufacturing industry required

APICS, NAPM, or ISM preferred
