Responsible for the specification and procurement of burn-in racks for edge emitting and VCSEL laser diodes as well as setup, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of these racks
Interface to CM / equipment to design burn-in capability (COS and wafer)
Perform equipment engineering design evaluations.
Recommends design enhancements to improve quality of products and/or procedures.
Modifies / upgrades racks for new products as needed
Reports to R&D Test Development Manager
5+ years hands-on experience in semiconductor laser testing and instrumentation.
Experience with semiconductor-laser physics is a plus
Strong analytic and data analysis/mining skills via Excel, Minitab and/or JMP
Familiarity in LabView / Python is desirable. Database experience is a plus
Experienced in development and implementation of test setups for R&D environment
Good knowledge in Electronics, Photonics, Optics, and Thermodynamics.
Familiarity with DOE, SPC, DFX, GR&R and GR-468-CORE qualification is a plus
Communicates/contributes effectively in cross-functional teams (esp. with manufacturing)
Industrial experience in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing is highly desired.
BS degree or above preferred in semiconductor, electrical, optical or physical engineering
US citizenship or permanent residency allows greater program flexibility
