Job Description
Principal Electrical Engineer for Development
and Research activities in the Commercial Lasers Group. Responsibilities
include design and coordination of design activities for high power solid state
and fiber lasers. The successful candidate will need to lead cross
functional technical teams and/or programs.
Flexibility and the ability to build
relationships and work interactively with other disciplines is required.
Customer interaction is expected with limited travel, both domestic and
overseas.
This position requires understanding of system
design and architecture, as well as both analog and digital circuits including
programmable logic (VHDL or Verilog).
Collaboratively
develop design specifications working with both customers as well as
Lumentum resources
Use
best practice design methodologies to produce design for
manufacturability, low cost, quality, and reliability
Coordinate
project activities within the EE/SW group and with outside groups such as
