Job Description:
Acacia’s world-class optical communication’s teamis looking for a college intern to help support our Silicon Photonics department inHolmdel, NJ. The Engineering Intern willbe assigned relevant work tasks and projects to challenge them according totheir current level of experience and capability. The Engineering Intern may find themselvesworking in the following areas:

Analogcircuit design

Opto-electronics

Mechanicalengineering

Digitalcommunications

MinimumQualifications, Experience, Skills, Education and Certifications:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Master’sdegree majoring in Electronic or Electrical Engineering, Mechanical orMechanical Engineering, Communication Systems or Computer Engineering

Seniorsor Masters students only please!

Knowledge of Python™

Knowledge of MATLAB™

Knowledge of C++

3.3 minimum GPA

Good interpersonal and organizational skills

OtherDesirable Skills :
Passion about engineering

Enjoys working w/ HW, optics

Enjoys working in lab environments

Likes to be challenged to understand system andfigure out ways to break it

Previous internship experience

Local candidates preferred

PhysicalRequirements:
Long amounts of sitting

Ability to lift 20 pounds

Some bending, lifting and reaching

Extensive use of keyboard and mouse
