Job Description: UES, Inc. has a position available for a Research Scientist with expertise in the area of RF electronics and/or nonlinear optics – specifically in electro-optic modulators. Preferred candidates should have experience with modulators, RF photonic links, and understanding device fabrication and characterization, both optically and electrically at high frequencies. Candidates with experience in electro-optic modulators and optical waveguide fabrication with nonlinear materials are also valuable. Experience with high bandwidth photodiodes and telecom fiber optics/waveguides could also be helpful. Chip scale evaluation and RF packaging are also useful experiences. Primary functions for this positions include:
~ Research RF-photonic modulators, links, and EO systems of interest
~ Designing RF-photonic modulators and other EO systems
~ Device fabrication and characterization with RF and optical equipment
~ Develop new RF-photonic devices
Requirements: Masters or higher in EE, Physics, Optics, or related field with experience in RF electronics and/or optics. Experience with nonlinear optics is a plus.
