Job Description

Description of Role and Responsibilities:
This is a key leadership role in our Silicon Photonics Product Division. In this role you will be responsible for:

Leading a team of product and assembly process and manufacturing engineers to design and deploy high volume fiber optic assemblies and transceivers

Directing internal process development within the product lifecycle, and for the transfer to HVM at contract manufacturers and internal production lines

Development of tool capability, process capability, and the key measurement indices for best in class manufacturing of optical path alignment processes

Developing and shaping a global team of engineers with innovative thought processes and disciplined approach to assembly design

Documentation and analysis of assembly processes, new tool commissioning, and statistical process control metrics and responses on the manufacturing line

The ideal candidate will have:
Operations Engineering Management, Quality and New Product Introduction expertise

Deep Optical Transceiver Module experience in NPI and Manufacturing

Demonstrated leadership in problem solving and root cause analysis

Experience in making product quality decisions with a business mindset

Ability to lead a team to apply Design for Excellence principles (DfX)

Experience in developing strong partnerships with contract manufacturers and designers

Focused on defining strategies and driving execution to achieve best in class results.

Passion for creating and leading talented teams to deliver great results with innovation and decision empowerment

Driven changes to achieve greater business results

Thrived in fast-paced, dynamic business environment

High degree of knowledge and practical demonstration of managing Optical Product Transformation in CM’s in Thailand

Driven initiatives to reduce the cost of products

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MS/BS – Optical Engineering/Manufacturing Engineering/Comp Sc/EE
  • 14+ years of experience in progressively more complex and senior roles in optical transceiver modules (including in the solar industry)
  • 3+ years in a Mfg/process Eng role in optical transceiver modules
  • 5+ years leading a team to apply Design for Excellence principles (DfX) Inside this Business Group
