Description :
Ostendo Technologies is seeking a self-motivated

individual to fill the position of Semiconductor Process Database

Administrator. This individual will be responsible for writing process steps

and descriptions for research and development and manufacturing using

web-based Manufacturing Execution System (MES) database software.

Responsibilities include generating electronic process flows and travelers,

taking microscope and SEM images for inspection step work instructions,

writing macros in Excel to facilitate analyzing data from MES database

exports, and writing scripts and code to interface with MES software.

Knowledge of semiconductor processing as well as machines used for processing

semiconductors is a plus, but not required. The qualified candidate will work

with Ostendo’s semiconductor process engineers and scientists, follow

instructions in the clean room environment with the semiconductor process

team, and will be able to translate RD process concepts into

easy-to-understand and documentable instructions. The successful candidate

will be an essential team member for facilitating processing and will help

bring novel semiconductor photonic technology designs from early RD

stages to production and manufacturing.

Skills /Experience:

Understanding of database software

and its uses is required. Proficiency in MES software is preferred


Understanding of manufacturing

scheduling is a plus


Understanding of basic semiconductor

process is preferred


Proficiency in Excel 2007 macro

creation and/or VBA is preferred


Proficiency in JSON and/or JavaScript

programming is preferred


Able to work independently with

minimum supervision as well as team environment


Able to keep detailed process records

and organize changes to process


Good verbal, written, and computer

communication skills


Competency with office productivity

software is required


This position requires occasional

time spent in the clean room environment, including standing for up to

several hours at a time

Other Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science,

Physics or Chemistry, or related field.


Two years’ experience with SQL

database management/administration will be a plus
