Electro-Optical Systems (EOS) is a division of L-3 Communications. Manufacturing Night Vision systems and solutions for defense and commercial applications.
D E S C R I P T I O N
Provide technical leadership as System Engineering Manager within engineering organization.- Responsible for systems engineering activities for Night Vision systems: Image Intensification, Thermal Imaging, and Fusion. - Responsible from proposal , systems definition, engineering prototypes through production delivery to customers- Work within R&D and Engineering organization to develop new EO/IR systems concepts as well as support existing contracts with SE tasks.- Detailed requirements flow down to EO/IR systems and sub-assemblies: optics, sensors, displays and electronics. Perform system level performance analysis.- Initiate, develop and write system specification documents and detailed test plans for requirements verification and validation. Maintain documents through engineering change process.
R E Q U I R E M E N T S
- Minimum of 10 years in system design environment with support to manufacturing.. Must have experience managing technical individuals in functional and/or integrated project teams. Experience with Image Intensified night vision systems and/or IR Thermal imaging systems is a plus. Previous experience specifying requirements for dual band optical systems. Experience working with vendors during the development of new or custom devices. Experience in the use of test equipment for system level performance evaluation.RequiresBachelor’s degree or higher in technical discipline: Physics or Engineering. Preferred Qualifications include EO/IR systems design experience including optics, detectors (FPA) and displays. Experience with Image Intensified night vision systems and/or IR Thermal imaging systems is a plus. Previous experience specifying requirements for dual band optical systems. Experience working with vendors during the development of new or custom devices. Experience in the use of test equipment for system level performance evaluation. Must be US Citizen.
